From Niagara This Week:
It’s now known who will be responsible for building a new entertainment centre in Niagara Falls.
The OLG announced early Tuesday evening that the contract to build a 5,000-seat venue has been awarded to Niagara Falls Entertainment Partners, a consortium that includes Bird Construction Inc. of Mississauga.
The consortium will build and maintain the new facility.
In a news release, Bird said it will “perform the design and construction of the project and will also, through Bird Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary, take a minority equity interest in the concession responsible for the overall project, including design, construction, financing, and maintenance.”
The facility will feature a performance space with multiple stage configurations, a public lobby and gathering spaces, box offices, bar and concessions.
