Cancer Climb record topped again at Skylon

From the Niagara Falls Review:

Last year, Troy Alston beat a record that stood at the Skylon Tower for 32 years by scaling its 660 steps in three minutes and 21 seconds.

He didn’t feel like waiting that long to beat it again.

On Saturday, the Florida ‘tower runner’ didn’t just top his own record for the 25th annual Stair Climb for Cancer, he obliterated it. At 3:02, he bounded the steps 19 seconds faster than last year.

And he was still disappointed.

“The goal this year was actual sub-three minutes,” he said. “I missed it by two seconds. That’s definitely the goal next year.”
