The Niagara Parks blog recently had a nice write-up about how they make the Floral Clock:

It’s planted twice each year and photographed almost as often as the Falls themselves, but few people know exactly what goes into crafting this incredible floral display.

The Floral Clock was built by Ontario Hydro in 1950 and inspired by the Edinburgh clock built in 1903. Since 1977, Niagara Parks has designed and planted the face of the clock, spanning four times the size of its inspiration in Edinburgh, Scotland…
