Niagara Parks Journey Behind the Falls in Autumn 2007

There is a small amount of snow on the ground now, but since it isn’t winter yet, I’ll post the last of my autumn pictures (I previously posted about the White Water Walk and general Niagara Falls in Autumn pictures). On the same day that my wife and I went along the White Water Walk, we also went to Journey Behind the Falls (both of them are Niagara Parks attractions). I have been before, but it has probably been 15 years or so since I was last there. This was my wife’s first trip. Regardless, we both loved it. You enter in the Table Rock building, and take an elevator down. They give you a rain poncho, and away you go. There are 3 different viewing areas. Two of the viewing areas are in the tunnel. You stand behind a barrier and can see the water falling in front of you. You can certainly hear the roaring of the Falls, and to a degree can feel it as well. The other viewing area is the platform where you can actually stand almost right beside the Falls. There is a covered platform, as well as a larger uncovered platform.

It was a beautiful clear day when we went, so I took some pictures along the parkway, and then more pictures when we were there. As is always the case, you can see some of the thumbnails below, and view all of the thumbnails and larger pictures in the Niagara Parks Journey Behind the Falls in Autumn 2007 gallery (there are now just under 2,400 images in the Niagara Falls Image Gallery).

I also posted a video of the Journey Behind the Falls. The video is about a minute and a half long. You can see the view from the tunnels, as well as from the viewing platforms. I would have liked to film more, but it’s pretty wet down there (as you can see in the video).
