As I walked down <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accessniagara.com\/c\/?4\">Clifton Hill<\/a> they had the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accessniagara.com\/c\/?146\">Niagara SkyWheel<\/a> turning very quickly. I was quite surprised it could move that fast. I doubt that is the normal speed. They were obviously doing some testing as they started and stopped the wheel numerous times, reversed direction, and turned at different speeds. I even saw a couple of people in one of the gondolas with the door opened adjusting something on the legs.<\/p>\n<p>They are also finishing up on the plaza area. I&#8217;ve <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accessniagara.com\/blog\/index.php\/2006\/05\/26\/niagara_skywheel_plaza_panorama\">already taken<\/a> pictures of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accessniagara.com\/blog\/index.php\/2006\/06\/01\/clifton_hill_and_niagara_skywheel_booths\">Clifton Hill side<\/a>, and they are now working on the greenery by the driveway:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.accessniagara.com\/blog\/media\/20060609_skywheel_01.jpg?w=640\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As I said, it has just rained, so it was fairly dark out with lots of clouds, but I&#8217;ve taken a couple of shots of the wheel:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.accessniagara.com\/blog\/media\/20060609_skywheel_02.jpg?w=640\" border=\"0\" \/><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.accessniagara.com\/blog\/media\/20060609_skywheel_03.jpg?w=640\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was out for a walk at lunch, just after we had a hard, sudden downpour.
