Still, neither side will reveal what led to the bitter parting of ways.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s just part of a board doing its business,&#8221; said Williams Thursday, the day after Gale&#8217;s decision to quit as chairman of the marketing and events committee went public. &#8220;He didn&#8217;t like the outcome and he exercised his democratic right to disagree with it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m sorry he resigned, or felt that he needed to.
