Residents are being encouraged to turn off their lights, computers, TVs and other appliances for one hour between 8 and 9 p.m. and join in the global event to raise awareness for energy conservation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They say 70 per cent of Canadians are going to participate,&#8221; said Coun.
