This aunt’s family is spread out all over the place, so they got together in Niagara Falls for a bit of a reunion (this was the first time everyone had been together in 10 years). The official birthday dinner was at The Love Boat on Victoria Ave and we were invited. I was trying to enjoy myself with the family, but I couldn’t help but make some mental notes so I could post them (even if it takes me 6 months).

First and foremost, the food was excellent. I had a steak dinner and my wife had some pasta. The steak was very good, and the garlic mashed potatoes that came with it were amazing. My wife’s dinner was very good as well (she said she’d order it again). The prices seemed a little high, but were not outrageous.

You will either think the decorations are quaint, or you will think they are outdated. I thought they were quaint; my wife thought they were outdated. The place was very clean, but the inside obviously hadn’t been updated in some time. It probably would have looked perfect at some maritime location. I guess it did seem a little out of place in Niagara Falls.

Some people are reluctant to go to non-brand-name restaurants as they aren’t sure what to expect. If you like to venture out, then give The Love Boat a try.

Back at the beginning of February one of my wife’s aunt celebrated her 80th birthday.
