This one&#8217;s for you,&#8221; Loverboy lead singer Mike Reno shouted to the crowd in Queen Victoria Park shortly after midnight when his band broke into &#8220;Hot Girls in Love.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Loverboy shared the stage with Honeymoon Suite and Dennis DeYoung, two other acts whose heydays were were in the &#8217;80s, to usher in &#8217;08. It was another homecoming for Honeymoon Suite, originally from the Falls, whose original members reunited in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You people are wonderful,&#8221; front man Johnnie Dee called out during a set that saw his band perform its hits &#8220;Wave Babies&#8221; and &#8220;New Girl Now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What a way to friggin&#8217; end the year,&#8221; Dee said backstage.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Niagara Falls Review: They&#8217;re not kids anymore, but they were still hot New Year&#8217;s Eve.
