{"id":19166,"date":"2017-03-06T11:00:45","date_gmt":"2017-03-06T16:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/accessniagara.com\/blog\/?p=19166"},"modified":"2017-03-06T06:47:19","modified_gmt":"2017-03-06T11:47:19","slug":"no-issues-of-concern-after-marineland-inspection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/accessniagara.com\/blog\/2017\/03\/06\/no-issues-of-concern-after-marineland-inspection\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018No issues of concern\u2019 after Marineland inspection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.niagarafallsreview.ca\/2017\/03\/03\/no-issues-of-concern-after-marineland-inspection\">Niagara Falls Review<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Facing 11 counts of animal cruelty from the OSPCA (Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), Marineland is touting the results of a recent inspection by its own Animal Care Committee.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Conducted by former Seaworld vice president Lanny Cornell, the report found the animals at the Niagara Falls attraction to be \u201chealthy, behaving normally, well fed and well taken care of,\u201d according to Marineland&#8217;s marketing department.<\/p>\n<p>The park says Cornell considered \u201call the issues identified by the OSPCA and issues raised by radical animal rights activists\u201d during the inspection. His entire report can be found on Marineland&#8217;s website.<\/p>\n<p>Following that inspection, the park says the OSPCA conducted a two-day inspection \u201cof every animal, the facilities and all records at Marineland\u201d on Feb. 21 and 22.
