{"id":18126,"date":"2016-11-29T09:00:17","date_gmt":"2016-11-29T14:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/accessniagara.com\/blog\/?p=18126"},"modified":"2016-11-26T10:07:48","modified_gmt":"2016-11-26T15:07:48","slug":"hornblower-to-open-new-incline-railway-for-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/accessniagara.com\/blog\/2016\/11\/29\/hornblower-to-open-new-incline-railway-for-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Hornblower to open new incline railway for 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.niagarafallsreview.ca\/2016\/11\/05\/hornblower-to-open-new-incline-railway-for-2017\">Niagara Falls Review<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A dormant incline railway will be given new life by Hornblower Niagara Cruises next summer.<\/p>\n<p>The boat cruise company will invest about $1.5 million into the former Maid of the Mist Incline, to go with a further $1.5 million in upgrades to elevators and the lower landing where passengers board the catamarans.<\/p>\n<p>Once completed, the work will allow Hornblower to significantly reduce wait times to ride its boats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the upgrades&#8230;our capacity to put people through increases about a hundred percent,\u201d said Hornblower Niagara general manager Mory DiMaurizio. \u201cWe&#8217;re set up for success for a number of years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With a more efficient system, Hornblower expects to increase its daily number of cruises.
