Shortly after the slide opened at 10 a.m. &#8211; after a quick thunderstorm, no less &#8211; thousands of people lined up to take the wet and wild ride.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI picked up a lot of speed halfway down,\u201d said Flood, who came from Toronto to do the slide. \u201cI bowled through somebody. I tried slowing down!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Flood paid $15 for a single slide, and instantly wished he could go again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow I dry off, grab lunch and head home.
