{"id":1349,"date":"2007-03-08T13:06:32","date_gmt":"2007-03-08T18:06:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.accessniagara.com\/blog\/index.php\/2007\/03\/08\/country-hearth-inn-suites\/"},"modified":"2007-03-08T13:06:32","modified_gmt":"2007-03-08T18:06:32","slug":"country-hearth-inn-suites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/accessniagara.com\/blog\/2007\/03\/08\/country-hearth-inn-suites\/","title":{"rendered":"Country Hearth Inn &#038; Suites"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A couple of weeks ago, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accessniagara.com\/blog\/index.php\/2006\/05\/16\/lodge_near_the_falls\/\">Lodge Near the Falls<\/a> (which only had that name for 10 months) changed it&#8217;s name and sign to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accessniagara.com\/c\/?634\">Country Hearth Inn &#038; Suites<\/a>. As you can see by the picture, they still haven&#8217;t changed the sign on top of the hotel.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"20070308_country_hearth_sign.jpg\" id=\"image1347\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.accessniagara.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/20070308_country_hearth_sign.jpg?w=640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t have any idea why they changed their name again, but I would assume it had something to do with the blue sign using the &#8220;lodge&#8221; name that would confusing for an established name such as the Travelodge across the road.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"20070308_travelodge_sign.jpg\" id=\"image1348\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.accessniagara.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/20070308_travelodge_sign.jpg?w=640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another reason may be that I believe Lodge Near the Falls was an independent name. Although not a huge chain, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accessniagara.com\/c\/?634\">Country Hearth Inn &#038; Suites<\/a> is a chain, so there are benefits to promoting an established chain.
