His bride-to-be thought that exchanging vows in the Honeymoon Capital of the World would make it even better.<\/p>\n<p>The tan groom from Bermuda marveled at the snow falling Wednesday outside a stained glass church as he waited for his fiancee, Michelle Bates, a Western New York native who had picked the location.<\/p>\n<p>Neither had counted on the heavy snowstorm that delayed the ceremony at least an hour.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted to take pictures by the falls,&#8221; Semchyshyn said. &#8220;Valentine&#8217;s Day was my idea. I&#8217;m a bit of a romantic.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In the end, the weather did not seem to bother the couple or their guests, who came from as far away as Bermuda, Florida and central Canada.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Regardless of the Nor&#8217;easter, it&#8217;s Valentine&#8217;s Day, and it&#8217;s hot and heavy,&#8221; Bates said just before the ceremony.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Buffalo News: A Valentine&#8217;s Day wedding seemed like a romantic idea to Johnathan Semchyshyn.
