The proposed Canadian Motor Speedway project has one less barrier to hurdle this week after a settlement was reached between one of the major groups opposed to the project and the speedway proponent.<\/p>\n
Council voted unanimously after a closed session to authorize approval of the minutes of settlement between the appellant \u2014 the Citizens Coalition of Greater Fort Erie \u2014 the Town, and the Region.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is great,\u201d said Mayor Doug Martin of the announcement, \u201cvery good news for the town of Fort Erie and a good positive sign that we\u2019re moving forward with this project.\u201d<\/p>\n
