Okay, so it’s not as catchy a title as Gorillas in the Mist, but the actual site was still pretty cool. There was a lot of fog this morning, and this is what the Hilton and the Skylon Tower looked like.

The steel dome at the base of the new Hilton tower has started, as well as the steel awnings along the side of the building as seen in the rendering below. The street level portion of this building is going to be beautiful.
The Hilton has recently topped out with their new cupola, it is a domed band shell-shaped feature that will be the hotel’s crown. In their renderings they also show a flag pole, so that may actually be the official pinnacle when it is completed, but this has more of an inspiration.
