I’d never given Niagara Falls much thought until the other night when I watched the ‘50s movie thriller fittingly named “Niagara” on TCM. Its scope, even on film, was compelling.

I say one time Mecca because most travel authorities today no longer rank Niagara Falls as a prime honeymoon spot. The best places to ‘moon in fast-paced modern America include several islands of Hawaii, Jackson Hole, Charleston, Vail, Lake Tahoe and Lost Vegas.
