Record year for Winter Festival of Lights

A record number of people checked out the Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights last season.

The 34th edition of the popular festival, which began Nov. 19 and continued until Jan. 31, attracted more than 1.33 million people and also set new records for donations and economic impact, said Tina Myers, the event’s executive director.

According to a third-party market research study, the festival produced an economic impact in excess of $62 million.
