Niagara Falls hotel owner may build another hotel next door

From the Buffalo News:

The owners of the Wingate by Wyndham hotel in downtown Niagara Falls have acquired the neighboring lot and may build another hotel there.

“We don’t have any current project on the agenda,” Frank Strangio, co-owner of Plati Niagara, said Wednesday. “Because we have the Wingate, people speculate that that’s the direction, but we really don’t know the direction.”

The first baby step toward development: persuade the city to abandon an alley that cuts through the western half of the block bounded by Third and Fourth streets, Rainbow Boulevard and Buffalo Avenue.
