From the Niagara Falls Review:
This past Sleep Cheap Charities Reap event raised $142,349.
The amount is listed in a staff report scheduled to go before city council Tuesday evening.
The funds raised were granted to 20 organizations, as selected by an organizing committee.
During the 2016 Sleep Cheap event, which took place Nov. 13 to 17, many Niagara Falls hotels offered rooms to Niagara residents only at discounted prices.
More than $1.7 million has been raised since the event’s inception in 2004.
