From the Niagara Falls Review:
The Niagara Parks Commission’s Butterfly Conservatory will undergo a metamorphosis of sorts in the coming days.
The popular tourist attraction will temporarily close Jan. 9 to allow staff to carry out general maintenance and cleaning jobs that can’t be completed when the site is open to the public.
It will re-open Jan. 16.
The large trees and vines in the tropical enclosure will be trimmed back, plants will be rearranged and paths will be given a good scrub down, said curator Cheryl Tyndall.
The seven-day closure will also allow for the first phase of a project to renovate the auditorium.
