A year of missed deadlines for Canadian Motor Speedway project

From Niagara This Week:

The perpetually delayed Canadian Motor Speedway project in Fort Erie has closed out another year without meeting any of its own deadlines.

Early in 2016, the developers behind the speedway project claimed they would be doing “site alterations” in the fall to prepare the land for development, but that never happened. They also committed to securing a building permit for the massive $400-million development by “the end of 2016”. However, that also did not happen.

No shovels hit the ground in 2016, and no building permit was issued because the developers have still failed to acquire all the necessary land.
