From the Niagara Falls Review:
It was most fun Rob Flood ever had doing a hit and run.
Thankfully, his ‘victim’ was laughing too.
Bodies were everywhere on Drummond Road Saturday, taking the plunge for The Urban Slide – a 1,000-foot-long water slide which put the steep incline between Lundy’s Lane and Prospect Street to good use. Shortly after the slide opened at 10 a.m. – after a quick thunderstorm, no less – thousands of people lined up to take the wet and wild ride.
“I picked up a lot of speed halfway down,” said Flood, who came from Toronto to do the slide. “I bowled through somebody. I tried slowing down!”
Flood paid $15 for a single slide, and instantly wished he could go again.
“Now I dry off, grab lunch and head home. I wish I had a two-run pass.”
