‘Officer Hulk’ puts on the badge

From the Niagara Falls Review:

The Hulk is on the beat.

Lou Ferrigno – forever known for his role as The Incredible Hulk in the 1970s TV show of the same name - was sworn in as an honourary Niagara Regional Police and Niagara Falls, N.Y. police officer Friday.

“I guess I’m not ever getting a ticket here again,” he said to a crowd gathered outside Niagara Falls, N.Y. police headquarters.

Ferrigno, who will be in Niagara Falls, Ont. this weekend to attend ComicCon at the Scotiabank Convention Centre, also brought an anti-bullying message to school children during his visit.

“All of us realize the value of positive role models in anti-bullying campaigns,” Niagara Regional Police Deputy Chief Bryan MacCulloch said.

Ferrigno does weapons training with police departments across the United States and holds honourary badges with departments reaching from California to Ohio and now New York and Ontario.
