GO in Niagara gets budget mention

From the Niagara Falls Review:

GO Transit expansion to Niagara had a notable mention in Thursday’s provincial budget.

It cited an extension of GO rail service to Niagara and Bowmanville as the “next generation of infrastructure investments” for the province as it works with stakeholders.

It would also be subject to agreements with freight rail partners.

St. Catharines MPP Jim Bradley hailed the announcement as a very positive next step on the GO file.

“I’m certainly pleased it was actually mentioned specifically in the budget,” Bradley said. “As our local representatives would know, our minister has indicated in the first half of the year there will be a more specific direction given in this regard.”
