Marineland sues Vancouver paper, eighth lawsuit since 2012

From the Niagara Falls Review:

Marineland’s eighth lawsuit since 2012 is seeking $600,000 in damages from a Vancouver publication for a story it claims is “indifferent to the truth.”

The park is seeking $500,000 for defamation and $100,000 in punitive damages from the weekly Georgia Straight and writer Travis Lupick for an article published and posted online April 28 titled ‘Vancouver Aquarium seals left blind or dead after transfer to Marineland.’

The article’s title has since been amended to ‘Vancouver Aquarium seals allegedly left blind or dead after transfer to other facility.’
