IMAX Theatre to stay put despite land sale

From Niagara This Week:

The sale of land on Fallsview Boulevard that is home to the IMAX Theatre Niagara Falls will have no impact on the operation of the theatre, the U.S.-based operator of the theatre says.

The giant-screen, 600-seat theatre is owned by Utah-based Destination Cinema Inc., has been operating at the site since 1986. The sale of the property, which hosts the theatre, the Niagara Falls Daredevil Gallery and the National Geographic Store, was finalized on March 20.

“Despite the sale of the property, it’s business as usual for Destination Cinema and the IMAX Theatre Niagara Falls,” said Bob Perkins, CEO of Destination Cinema.
