NPC unveils plans for Niagara zip line attraction

From the St Catharines Standard:

Four zip line attractions could be up and running next year in Niagara Falls if a proposal by the Niagara Parks Commission gets the green light.

The agency held a public information session Thursday at the School of Horticulture to unveil plans for what it hopes will be the newest Niagara Falls attraction.

The proposed zip line sites include a line that runs parallel to the Whirlpool Aero Car above the whirlpool and a second one that would run from the Maid of the Mist boat plaza to the power station near the base of the Falls.

A third line will operate from Rapidsview parking lot and a fourth will be at Thompson Point.

  1. The reporting of this story by the local outlets was absolutely atrocious, making me doubt that they attended the information sessions at all. There are NOT 4 zip lines being proposed, but only 2 – one at the Aerocar location and one at the Maid of the Mist location. The other 2 sites would have Aerial Challenge courses but not ziplines.
