Animal activist calls Marineland lawsuit ‘frivolous’

From Niagara This Week:

An animal rights activist who filed a complaint with Niagara Regional Police after a confrontation with Marineland owner John Holer has dismissed a lawsuit filed against him by the park.

“Their Statement of Claim is frivolous and has almost nothing to do with me, personally,” Mike Garrett said after he was served with court documents informing him the 52-year-old theme park is seeking $1.5 million — general damages of $1 million and punitive damages of $500,000. “In their claim, Marineland makes numerous absurd and false allegations about myself.”
