Canadian Motor Speedway project facing more roadblocks

From Niagara This Week:

Despite receiving final approval from the province a month ago, the proposed Canadian Motor Speedway still has plenty of roadblocks to overcome before development can begin.

The latest in a long series of delays for the struggling project involves an archeological survey, a conservation permit and outstanding land purchases.

A spokesperson from Ontario’s Ministry of Culture confirmed to Niagara this Week that an archaeological assessment has resulted in the discovery of a number of “pre-contact Aboriginal artifacts” on the proposed land for the speedway.
