Wallenda abruptly cancels final practice

From Niagara This Week:

Tightrope walker Nik Wallenda, who will be crossing the Falls between the U.S. and Canada on June 15, has been holding his practice sessions open to the public May 12-22 at the Seneca Niagara casino, twice a day and yet before Tuesday’s last appearance he unexpectedly cancelled.

Spectators lined up against the concrete barriers waiting for their chance to catch a glimpse of Wallenda but instead were met with the announcement.

Greg Faust, from the entertainment department at Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel spoke to the crowd anticipating the training session that at Tuesday’s noon press conference “Nik Wallenda announced that due to mental and physical exhaustion that the training session between 3:30 and 5 p.m. has been cancelled.”

  1. I hope Nik falls cause he shouldn’t even be allowed to cross when Jay has asked way before Nik.

    I won’t be watching it but I hope he does fall.
