Freebies slashed at Niagara Parks Commission

From Bullet Media:

If they want to play, they’re going to have to pay.

Niagara Parks Commissioners have decided they’ll no longer take free passes to play golf on NPC courses, ending a practice that some saw as a perk and others a useful promotional tool.

Politicians too, with few exceptions, will have to bring their wallets with them when they hit the links. And that’s just fine says Niagara Falls Coun. Vince Kerrio Jr., the city’s representative on the commission.

“I think it’s a signal we’re going in a different direction,” said Kerrio.
