As Lithanial commented, the Air Miles reward page where you can get Marineland tickets has a description of the park. When describing the rides, it has the following:
A new family thrill ride is scheduled to open in July of 2010.
Anyone know anything about this?
Phil replied in the wrong posting:
I had contacted them earlier this year about new things at the park and this is what I got “We will be adding a new family ride. It’s made by Zeirer. I believe it’s called the Flying Fish ride. It likely will open July 2010.”
If that is the new ride, it’s just a kids roundabout, nothing to get too excited about.

At least two years awaiting, and this is what we get…
…hmm… you got so much park space, and make piles upon piles of money (probably blow most of it on marketing with those obnoxious commercials)… yet, don’t invest it on any thrill rides.
I still don’t see why a park called “Marineland” hasn’t invested in any rides that involve water yet, like a log ride or shoot-the-chutes, especially during the hot summer days when you walk 2 miles between attractions (speaking of which, they were supposed to also put in a train ride and/or a boat ride, of which is still proposed yet not even talked about nor installed, but only “under construction” according to the Niagara Falls Development page).
Hey guys, at least it’s something!
Doesn’t this ride seem a lot like their Space Avenger ride, just different theme?
I agree with Rob in wanting to see a water ride installed.
Pathetic… the lack of vision and investment in this park is just astoundingly depressive! Unless someone else buys the park like “Sea World, Disney, Universal, Cedar Fair, Six Flags” it will never reach it’s true potential as a world class park not even close to it! Such a shame….
