Labour Board holding casino union drive ballot boxes

From the Niagara Falls Review:

The Canadian Auto Workers union is hoping the fifth time’s the charm.

Management with the two Niagara Falls casinos hope this latest disruption is over.

Both sides have done this dance before, and now comes the waiting game after thousands of employees cast ballots this week in the CAW’s latest drive to unionize the biggest workforce in the city.

According to casino spokesman Greg Medulun, about 93% of 2,900 eligible voters cast a ballot.

Polls at Casino Niagara and Niagara Fallsview Casino closed at 1 a.m. Saturday.
