How is it that Windsor an obviously inferior casino to Fallsview (no offense Windsor) can get…
* A new 27 story 400-room hotel tower
* 5,000-seat entertainment centre with great acts
* 100,000 square feet of convention space
* New restaurants and retail space
* A six-bay bus loading extension
* Sky bridges to link the complex to the existing casino and tower
* And a high profile branding (Caesar’s)
And we can’t even get a 5,000 seat venue announcement?
Where’s the Love?
why can’t they do any better than this? 🙁
Pathetic! We need a large scale concert venue in the casino with 5-8,000 seats & they can build it on top of the parking garage and existing Avalon Ballroom. Having two concert venues in the same facility would serve not only the casino well but the entire city! Big name acts bring in big crowds that will stay in the hotels, eat at the restaurants, check out other attractions and gamble!
What on earth are they waiting for!?!?
I would love to see a large concert arena while keeping the Avalon. They can have longer running broadway style shows and small acts play at the Avalon which bring in the day gamblers and are great freebies for the bigger players, then have large acts that can draw from Niagara/Hamilton/Buffalo for the large venue.
The casino just isn’t seeing the traffic it used to so I think they have bigger problems on their hands. Quite a few retail stores have/are closing their doors in recent times.
