Jet boat reprieve

From the Niagara Falls Review:

Niagara Whirlpool Jets Boats could soon find itself again looking for temporary docking space in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Parks Canada has agreed to rent its dock at Navy Hall to the tour company until only June 15.

The jet-boat operator has been using the wooden wharf as a passenger pickup point since it was forced from the municipality’s Melville Street dock following a recent court ruling.

“It’s a temporary fix giving a tour operator some short-term relief, so they don’t have to close down their business immediately and cause disappointment to a lot of people who are coming to Niagara-on-the-Lake specifically for that,” said Bob Andrews, Parks Canada superintendent of Niagara historic sites.
