From the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle:
The deal sounded like the perfect budget getaway: A hotel room in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and four passes to the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark, good for admission the day of arrival and the following day until 3 p.m., all for $159 Canadian (before tax) — or around $130 U.S.
For two moms looking to treat four kids ages 9 to 13 to a mini vacation before summer arrives, it sounded like a bargain. And so it could have been, except for two factors we hadn’t planned for: the high price of eating dinner in a tourist district and the bundle we dropped on arcade games.
Judging by the reviews from our kids and from several Rochester families we encountered over breakfast in our hotel, it was money well spent.
