I’m sure this has happened a few times since it has been open, but I actually kind of know the people involved.
My sister, who lives in Calgary, recently got married in Brampton. She had a couple of friends come out from Calgary for the wedding, and they stayed in Niagara Falls. My sister and her fiance went up the Niagara SkyWheel in one gondola, and the fiance’s best man and his girlfriend was in another gondola. I’m not sure how long they had been dating for, but it had been awhile. They had been talking about marriage before. Once up in the wheel, the man said he just thought it was too beautiful, and he proposed!
