From the Buffalo News:

A controversial decision to renew a lease to store and dock the Maid of the Mist boats on Canadian land below Niagara Falls will be reviewed after a top Ontario ethics watchdog issued a report Monday.

The report, issued by Ontario Integrity Commissioner Lynn Morrison, called on the Niagara Parks Commission in Ontario to review its decision to renegotiate and renew the lease for 25 years without soliciting other proposals.

Morrison’s report also recommended that an audit be done on recent procurement practices by the Niagara Parks Commission and cleared the commission’s chairman of any wrongdoing when the lease was renewed last year.
