From the Niagara Falls Review:
Niagara Parks Commission chairman Jim Williams says a report by Ontario’s integrity commissioner, expected within days, will “vindicate” his board’s decision to renew its deal with the Maid of the Mist Steamboat Co.
Unconfirmed reports said the seven-month investigation into a formal complaint about the renewal of the parks commission’s lease with the boat-tour company could be completed next week – possibly as soon as Monday.
“I can’t wait for the integrity commissioner to issue her report, because we will be vindicated … I have no doubt she will find no fault with the way we handled this whole lease business,” Williams said in a recent interview.
