The Niagara Falls Review and the Globe and Mail have both covered this story:
The Ontario Ministry of Tourism will not comment on union demands that the provincial government take over management of the Niagara Parks Commission.
“It’s not a matter we will comment on,” Mark Thompson, a ministry of tourism spokesman, told The Niagara Falls Review Thursday.
The union representing Niagara Parks workers have called on Queen’s Park to assume management of parks operations.
In a written statement, the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, which represents more than 600 seasonal and full-time parks employees, accused the commission of having “a record of mismanagement and secrecy.”
