This will probably be the shortest post of the series. I didn’t stay in a hotel, so I can’t comment on much other than what I saw advertised.
As with any major tourist destination, there are hotels everywhere in Orlando! The main waiting area of the Orlando airport is even a hotel. There are hotels that are big names and are probably expensive, and there are small little places that are probably not expensive. The one thing that kinds of surprised me was with the smaller places. There were lots of them that had week-long rates. You could stay in a hotel room with a fridge for anywhere from $120 to $180 a week. These hotels did not seem awful. They were obviously not very fancy, but if you are going to spend all of your time somewhere else, and you just need a bed, then these are probably great deals.
I’m a little surprised that Niagara Falls doesn’t really have anything like this. Of course there is a market for high-end rooms, but aren’t there a lot of people who want to spend all their time at the casino or visiting attractions?
