Along with what I posted about yesterday, there are some other changes happening at the Boston Pizza on Clifton Hill. A little over a month ago I posted about some changes in the area directly over the Great Canadian Midway.
The small change is barely visible in the left of the picture. That area used to be all tables. There are now booths against the wall. The big change is the big room at the end. It has tiling inside, so it’s either going to be a kitchen area or a bathroom. If it was going to be a kitchen area, I would expect it would have been connected directly to the kitchen, so it must be another bathroom.

hey guys
my granddaughter and i took a roadtrip today..yup..fed the ducks at dufferin island (christmas lights are still up btw..lol)..checked our trailer and also talked to my friend..gotta couple tidbits..i didn’t hear all the mistakes (apparently ALOT) made during construction of dave and busters..but i was told that weeping tiles were not put in the first time..so areas had to be re-dug to do that and a few of the windows on the north (?) side..(facing mardi gras)..were removed and plastered over just yesterday..the top floor is the kitchen and a 60ft bar (one of the reasons the windows were removed..can’t hang bar shelves on windows)..the first and second floor are all games..where the pool was (for those of us that remember the indoor pool at the masterhost which was on both first and second floor..lol)..is slated to be a 3 or 4D movie kinda thing..like the ripley’s ride i guess..they hope to open in june…apparently it won’t do much harm to boston pizza and the arcade..as they are looking to be higher end to attract gamers..mostly local gamers..not too much for families and kids by the sounds of it…so..that’s that info…onto boston pizza…she wasn’t sure if it was the patio being made larger or not..but there’s supposed to be a regular independant bowling alley going in around the wheel somewhere..oh..and when we were chatting…a worker asked about entry into the basement store (chocolate store..candy store..build a bear store..tshirt store etc..)..never did ask what was goin on in there…
just my 2 cents..
sorry guys..didn’t realize i took up so much space..lol
If I’m not mistaken Dave & Buster’s is more along the lines of Sports Zone then the Midway in that it’s geared toward a 19+ crowd. I don’t know how all these arcades will do, it’s going to be a little saturated. I think the old Marvel arcade should redevelop into something new – it was never great.
Graham, any idea when HOCO will officially announce their what they have going on?
Some coworkers of mine told me BP/Midway plans on putting in a dance floor. Can anyone confirm this. If it’s true BP’s late night dining sales are going to soar.
I’ve never been to a Dave & Buster’s, so I have no idea what crowd they cater to.
HOCO is always slow at announcing things. I haven’t heard of when they will tell people what they are building.
I haven’t heard of the dance floor things. That sounds odd. They would competing with their own property, Rumours.
Hey I can fill you in on some details that is giong on at boston pizza, i work here so we no somewhat whats going on
they are putting in new bowling alleys (14 i believe) as well as a second bar (what the licence was for) the 3 picture is of new washrooms they are putting in they just finished them today and they are now open. the reasoning behind this is they are sectioning off the bigger bar area and having less entrances inside boston pizza, and the resturant patrons can use the new washrooms
They will be shutting down March Mon 23 tue 24 wed 25 thur 26 and opening up fri at 5pm till sunday then shutting down the following week the same thing
