From the Niagara Falls Review:
Adding a live theatre to Niagara’s convention centre could boost its appeal among families and give convention-bookers one more reason to pick Niagara Falls, says Kerry Painter, manager and president of the Niagara Convention and Civic Centre.
“I’m excited about the theatre. That’s going to be a great addition for the community,” Painter said during an interview in a storefront office on Fallsview Boulevard office that serves as the temporary headquarters for the convention centre’s staff.
Her staff had recently received the floor plan for the facility and have printed brochures to show off the different rooms it will have.
A theatre wasn’t originally part of the plans, but architects working for Bondfield Construction, the contractor for the project, added a 1,023-seat theatre to “augment” the services the centre will provide, Painter said.
