A week ago my family was graciously hosted at the Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview. We checked in Thursday for a one-night stay. I will be doing a thorough write-up and will have it available within a couple of weeks. For now, her are a few quick points/observations from our visit:
- The hotel is beautiful. I had been in it once before, but this was my wife’s first time. From the time she walked in the door she was impressed.
- We stayed in a Fallsview Family Suite. It had a king-size bed, a separate room with two queen beds, and a gigantic bathroom.
- The room was at the side of the hotel, but we still had a nice view of the Falls
- The Watermark is fancy!
- Our food (both dinner and breakfast) were very good
- I’ve walked past the back of the Hilton a hundred times and always wondered what the white tarp thing was. It’s the “roof” of the pool area.
- The pool area is very nice. There is a separate kids pool, a large pool divided into two sections, a waterslide, a spa/hot tub, a steam room, and a sauna. Upstairs overlooking the pool is the exercise room and an arcade (only 3 games, and one of them was broken)
- At one point, the valet brought our mini-van for me, and parked it behind a Porsche Cayenne S SUV. My Pontiac Montana seemed a little out of place
- The entire tourist area of Niagara Falls is stunning at night. It reminds me of being in Taiwan… during the day, things might look a little dirty, but at night with the lights on, things are beautiful.
- Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a tour of the new building. Things didn’t work out with Vince, so we have to arrange it for another time

I didn’t realize the white tarp was the roof for the pool area. Good to hear you had a great time Graham, I’m looking forward to hearing the rest. Did you get any info of what will be added to the podium in terms of shops, restaurants, etc. That will be interesting and if done right will make the street level in the Fallsview district much better.
