Local steel company tops off high-rise hotel

From the Niagara Falls Review

There’s a sense of pride in having a part in building a high-rise that changes the landscape of a city, says Jason Bradshaw whose Niagara Falls ironworks company specializes in structural steel work at construction sites.

“It’s not very often you do a job that’s 55 storeys. Where is there a 55-storey building close to us?” said the owner of Bradshaw Iron Works, a company that works out of shop in rural Niagara Falls.

There aren’t any. You have to go to Toronto or New York City to find buildings as tall as the new 58-storey Hilton Niagara hotel.

A crew of seven is wrapping up work on the Hilton Niagara hotel, now the tallest hotel in Niagara Falls. They’ve been putting the steel structure in place on the high-profile project, across the street from the Fallsview Casino.
