At some point last week (I was there on Friday), the demolition of the Quality Inn on Clifton Hill started. Also, there is a lot of work happening behind the Sports Zone area of Boston Pizza.

Note: Some pictures were taken at ground level and a couple were taken from the Niagara SkyWheel

Sad to the place go. It is where my family and I stayed every year when we went to the falls. Kids loved the indoor pool and the family suites were nice a roomy. Too bad.

Hi. When I was a kid I used to stay at what I believe to be the Quality Inn. This was in the 70s, so I am kind of fuzzy about the details.
The place I stayed in was on Clifton Hill. There was a little restaurant on the front of the hotel. The hotel had a bar called the Thunderbird Lounge.
There was an indoor pool and a hot tub. The indoor pool area had rooms that opened directly onto it.
The outdoor pool had a dragon slide.
The hotel was between 2 other hotels. If I am remembering right, on of the hotels had a “bridge” that connected the two together.
Is this the place that was torn down? I am hoping not, as I spent many fun vacations here as a child, and was hoping to bring my own children back someday.
Any info or stories about my hotel would be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    M
