I don't think I can say what the tackiest Niagara souvenir I've ever seen is in mixed company. Let's just say it's a mug geared toward our gentlemen friends. Why, oh WHY did someone think slapping "Niagara Falls" on that would be a good idea?

But i think the favorite I've ever owned was a plastic fan with a circular picture of the different attractions on each section. it looked exactly like the fan on this page...but with niagara stuff on it. I can't believe i found this!

I'd say its pretty hard to top the "actual NF water" bottles, especicially the "color night time water" versions. :)

Ive got a glass thats in the shape of the skylon tower that I found at a yard sale, kind of fitting for me heh.

I would check the manufacturer on those pieces of wood, if it says "made in china" you know something is up, lol.

Well, I'm only slightly embarrassed to say that I would have bought a couple of the Whirlpool Wood keychains if I had seen them. I've got a weakness for the schlock, myself.

My favorite, which has always been on display in my home, is a gold-colored, plastic, 16" tall x 6" across model of "The Seagram Tower" (with a coin slot in the top to use as a bank). When that tower (now the Minolta) was built in the early 60's, I was in my very early teens, and I thought it was THE most beautiful building I had ever seen. It was certainly the tallest bldg in the Niagara area! Nowadays, it seems a little lost among all the construction of the last several years.

When my wife and I got married (oh so many years ago), we bought all our attendants the customary gifts, but then thought that since we were getting married in Niagara Falls, we should do something different. So we had a great time going to all the souvenir stores and finding the tackiest NF things we could find (snow globes, thermometers, etc.) and then wrapping them up nicely and handing them out at the rehearsal. The looks on the faces as our friends opened their 'special' gifts were absolutely priceless.
