All things Niagara Falls tourism…

It’s Ferry St. from the curve at Marriott Courtyard to Drummond Rd./Main St.
Do we know that this is still going to be Al Mac’s? There was recently an add in the paper for people for an IHOP (International House of Pancakes) opening in Niagara Falls, and the address to drop off resumes was the Capri restaurant, which just happens to be across the street. Usually, they are pretty close to opening when they start looking for people, and I couldn’t think of any other restaurant renos going on right now.
Also, the new Shopper’s on Lundy’s Lane is coming along nicely, should be open before summer.
yes, true, drafty.
this is bugging me…,are you (Drafty) the same person as the drafty with the lower case “d” (drafty)?
I guess I am. I think it must be whether I log on at home or work. I’ll see if I can get them to match
Aw, I would actually hate to see this place become an IHop…. My husband and I had many early morning breakfasts at Al Mac’s and we loved the people there, they were so friendly to us and were so helpful about taking time to talk to us about the area during our first visit. We appreciated the atmosphere as a way to start the day off.
We had dinner there once as well and both that and the breakfasts were wonderful. Loved their blueberry muffins and their ham and eggs.

Such a shame if Al Mac’s is to be no more…
just got back from a very long absolutely beautiful day at the falls..wow..lots of people everywhere down there today..even at the islands feeding the ducks..lol..musta been some sort of school holiday or something..almost all families we saw…journey under the falls was very busy..the hill was busy..it was great to see a couple of people movers running…oh..and the incline was taking passangers too..the midway was jammed with people..quite a few patios were set up too…build a bear looks pretty kewl…graham?…any idea what’s goin on 2 doors down from there?…right in between mama mia’s and the linen place..all new paint..looks pretty kewl too..not quite as..ummm..*eye catching* as charlies…lol..no signs up tho…just my 2 cents..
With regards to the building next to Build-A-Bear, I’m not sure what is going on there. I took a picture (that I haven’t posted yet) and noticed that there is a sign on the door. I keep meaning to take a look at the sign before I post the picture. Hopefully tomorrow…
I forgot about the IHOP, but it makes sense, because I remember them wanting to build it in that general area.
I also noticed the renovations next to Mia’s. What was there before?
All I can think what was there near Mama Mias is Mama Leone’s or Niagara Bargain Basement. Your guess is as good as mine.
For the American side its the last day of spring break for most of the kids, also the beautiful weather just makes people come out after being couped up in the house all winter.
long weekend coming, for me. lol
al mac’s will remain an al mac’s. i know the owners and this is certain.
Thanks Graham E. Once we saw the new sign (I posted it on a new post), we figured that, but we appreciate your confirmation. Come back any time!
