The city is doing construction work at the top of Clifton Hill at Victoria Avenue. The traffic lights have been taken out (I assume temporarily) and they’ve taken out the turning lane (I assume permanently) on Victoria Avenue that let you turn down Clifton Hill.

sorry…apparently i stuttered….lol
The roads are still open. The intersection for the time being is a 4-way stop.
mess
k..thanks graham..wow..NOT a good spot for a 4way..bad enuff when there’s lights

Well now would be the best time of the year to do this work I guess and I sure hope they come up with a solution there that will alleviate the traffic nightmare somewhat.
I hope that intersection always stays busy
I couldn’t even think of a solution to alleviate traffic. Maybe get going on the People Mover Idea, but there isn’t much else you can do.
that’s very true dan..i agree fer sure..traffic will always be a nightmare as long as there’s tourists..but we have noticed..at least 85% of the time..it’s ONTARIO drivers getting messed up at this intersection..not the visitors…lol…actually..i remember..gee..probably almost 20 years ago..maybe longer..the people mover did go that way…it went up murray hill to stanley..across stanley to lundy’s lane..down the hill to the main depot (to buy tickets) was immediately right..where all the tour buses que up now..across from the new main ticket office…
That’s funny Sue, because we say the same thing about the visitors. lol
